Introducing hand sanitiser to kids

0 min read

Now more than ever, it’s vital to teach our children about the importance of good hygiene – and kids aren’t exactly known for their cleanliness.

Viruses spread easily throughout schools and nurseries, so it’s essential that children keep clean.

While regular hand washing is non-negotiable, introducing hand sanitiser into your child’s daily routine is an extra measure to keep them safe.

Make hand sanitising a part of their routine by packing a bottle in their school bag.

Give them their own bottle to look after, and let them decorate and personalise it with stickers.

Encourage them to apply sanitiser when they are playing outdoors.

Teach them to use it before entering a shop and to reapply after leaving.

If they are unable to wash their hands, it’s essential that your child sanitises before they eat.

Show your child how to apply hand sanitiser to cover all of their hands, including the backs of the hands, thumbs and wrists.

Children’s skin can be extra sensitive, so finding a formula that contains soothing properties like Aloe Vera will help avoid irritation.

Building hand sanitiser into your child’s routine in this way will help them stay safe throughout the day.
